An applicant is a pediatric dentist who submits the verification of credentials forms, pays the appropriate fees and upon validation by the PBPD of credentials is eligible to take the Qualifying Written Exam. Applicants are not considered to be in the certification process until they have passed the Qualifying Written Examination.
When verifications are requested by a third party, (e.g. hospital administrators regarding medical staff privileges) applicants are not considered to be in the certification process.
